Lucky to be alive

I liked reading this week's email update and it was nice chatting back and forth with Elder Pinyon this week. I love how he sends me a new email under a new subject for the blog's update. He is very sneaky of doing that.

This is what Elder Pinyon said,
"Everything is going really great here in Oldenburg. The only problem is that it's stinking hot :( it's like 34C and 38C I really don't like it, but it shouldn't last long until winter comes again. Just hope it
comes fast, because it is super hot for the last few days. Luckily most of it is dry heat, but we also have no wind because I am in land. So it's a bit different. It reminds me of my first area when we had
42-45C one day. I just hope it doesn't hit that high. Bring back the snow I say!!!!

Oh on Tuesday we went out in the morning and ip the seat of my bike fell off as I was riding it, so we went home, I fixed it and my companion and I traded bikes. My companion forgot to tell me one
thing, that his bike has a loose chain on it. So we are riding to the church for Gemiko (ward missionary correlation( that's the German name)) and we are going to be late, so I crank my bike into top gear and pedal as fast as possible and it wouldn't change over, so I just tried going faster and faster, so it'd change over.

As I did that it finally changed over, but the chain came off jamming the chain between the gears and the wheel. My bike tyre started flying and my front wheel went crazy and my companion thought I was a goner (luckily I wasn't, because it was our new mission presidents first day, would've been a bad start for him).

I somehow got control of my bike after 5 seconds of it going crazy on me. I know God was protecting me, because in the oncoming traffic was a car about to hit me if I had of fallen off. Just like at the end of Doctrine and Covenants 84:88 "I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up.". I like it better in German though, it says "Ich werde zu eurer rechten Hand sein und zu eurer linken, und mein Geist wird in eurem Herzen sein und meine Engel rings um euch, um euch zu stützen."  I was really protected by Gods angels for some reason 😊 I am just glad to be alive though.

I finally got to meet my new mission president and he is so great. He is a man definitely called of God. He doesn't want to focus on baptism, but he would rather focus on eternal life, which doesn't stop at baptism, it only starts there and never finishes, because it's eternal. When we look at the gates of eternal life and we see that is open, because we as members open the gate, they will see along the
path which leads to the tree of life, the temple. Because this part of progress is just as important as baptism!!! President and Sister Fingerle are really great and we get to see them next week at a zone
conference!!!

Sent from Elder Pinyon"

I suggest you to always remember to pray for friends and relatives who are on their missions to be protected.

Stay Tuned.
