1 Year Mark

Short and sweet email that I have received from Elder Pinyon today and he mentioned "This week was ok, went to Eckernförder, a nice little city of about 25,000 people. Really beautiful, right on the beach side, so I went for a little walk on the beach this week :D It was amazing :D Also we saw an amazing sunset this week too, it was super beautiful :D I am now 1 year old on the mission :D It is so cool, I look back and think that wow I have served 1 year already, the time is gone by so fast."

Friendly reminder the photos are on this blog under "Mission Photos" and on Facebook under "MTC & Mission Photos."

Were Speechless

Today was my Birthday and Elder Pinyon wished me a Happy Birthday at the start of the email. Most importantly, he mentioned the highlight of this week. This is what he mentioned through the email.

"highlight of this week was when we we doing finding and we were street contacting. We love speaking with people, so it does make it a little bit more easier to speak with everyone. As we were walking down the street we had a few good conversations, but then we spoke with this young man about 27 years old, his name is Daniel.  We asked him if he knew what the Book of Mormon was about. He said no.  Luckily we had one in our hand and could introduce it to him. As the conversation
went on he said to us "I prayed yesterday that I would be able to speak to someone about God and how I can better direct my life so I can return to him".

We just were speachless....We had answered his prayer and we will be meeting with him tonight.  I am really excited for this. I know that there are prepared people here.  The Lord is not only preparing us as missionaries through Zone Training Meetings, but also the people that we invite to listen to His word.  I am greatful for this experience.

Also my companion and I lead our first Zone Training Meeting all in German this week, that was really top."

He then was explaining what the photos of that was attached. Reminder the photos are on this blog under "Mission Photos" and on Facebook under "MTC & Mission Photos."

"So in these photos, one is of the olypmics and they had a sailing competition in the olympics.
Another is me by the ocean :D the baltic sea Also a frozen lake :D

Also if everyone would JUST LOVE, the world would be a better place. My crazy companion

Lots of Fun This Week

It was interesting to what Elder Pinyon has mentioned during this week. A friendly reminder it's not my fault that he doesn't spell words correctly.

"This week has been a super busy week, the first 2 days were really fast, Pday and a working day. The next day (wednesday) we went to a district meeting, being a zone leader you get to visit every district meeting in your zone, which is heaps of fun, but than we went on exchanges with the elders. After exchanges finished, we went to our own district meeting, which was mean as. After DM we got on a train and travelled for 3 hours to berlin and stay there for the night. Than on Friday morning we had MLC (Mission Leadership Council) and than we travelled home. Saturday we did about 5 hours of service and also planned our Zone Training Meeting for next week. Sunday I went to church. That was pretty much my week, I am super tired, haha, but not stressed. I had a lot of fun this week.

I have lots of photos, so there will be a few emails, I can only fit 3 photos per email, sorry. So I found this sign and it says JP-Australia and my initials are JP Jacob Pinyon and I come from Australia. My
companion made some cinemon rolls."
