"Well the week started off pretty great. We played squash with a member and the sisters. The only problem was that I stretched my shoulder really badly and couldn't use it to its full use for about 5 days. But now it is a lot better and it feels really good. I love to play sport and just get out there, reminds me of the days when I used to play Rugby league. I hope that I can play it again when I get home, I just need to find a league that doesn't play on Sundays so I can still attend all my church meetings and fulfill my duty as a Priesthood Holder.
Have also been thinking a lot about my purpose this week and just focusing on what it really means to be a missionary and I really like the story of the Strippling Warriors. As I read through the Book of Mormon this week, I came upon this wonderful story and I love how these young men (maybe about 14-18 year olds) were not afraid to die. They had a desire to fulfill what God wanted them to do, they made preparations to everything, and they were obedient to the things that their Mothers taught them. These 14-18 year old men (2000 of them) were going up against an army of trained, blood thirsty men and they still didn't fear death. If we lived like that what would I life be like??
Now in Jarom 1:11 it says that the prophets and priest would teach and the Nephites would live their lives as though Christ had already come. What would your life be like if Christ had already come (2nd coming)?? Or lets apply this in a worldlyish way, what would your studies be like if you had already passed your first year exams at college?? How would you live your life if you had already graduated from your studies?? If we live in such a way, we will be successful and we will be righteous."
